In The Spotlight
Glen Parker of Innovative Education and Scott Wurzel of USF I.T. are this year's recipients of the USF Outstanding Staff Team Award. The two have been instrumental to the success of leveraging eGrades functionality, both in regard to moving faculty confirming grade periods and past-term grade changes completely online. They also worked to modify Canvas to support the new USF System-wide requirement for Mid-Term Grades Posting, Number 10-504 to facilitate more students receipt and potential benefit from early insight into their academic progress. Congratulations, Glen & Scott.
Our Spotlight also shines on Rick DeBow, TSA for Degree Works, and Caurie Waddell, formerly of URO's DegreeWorks team. In the article in the April 17, 2014 edition of Inside USF, it discusses the “New Academic Database” going live on the main USF website. Rick and Caurie, representing the University Registrar’s Office, collaborated from the DegreeWorks and Tracking Module perspectives on construction and implementation of the database, along with teams from other offices including the Office of the Provost. Many thanks, Rick & Caurie.
This year has been a long one, but without our FWS (Federal Work Study) students it could have been a lot longer. The Registrar’s Office wanted to acknowledge our students and in doing so we gave them a Pizza Party on their behalf. Celebrating all the hard work and dedication to our office we acknowledge Lenae Proctor, Robyn Oliveri, Katie Share, Ashley Jones, Melody Smith, Emily McIntyre, Nicole Ketza, and Zayne James. We may not say it often but we want you to know how much we appreciate you, your hard work, and dedication to our staff. Enjoy your summer!
